I think its time to do a little recon on this blog and reign in some of the things on this blog that do not specifically pertain to the theme of this blog, which is Deus nobiscum (God is with us).
From this point forward Deus Nobiscum has a new vision, a new mission, and that is to know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified. Only the things that will build the Church up in truth are going to be written about. With that, I would also look to move this blog away from apologetics of Catholic and orthodox teaching. There is a time for everything as the writer of Ecclesiastes opines. In the Church as a whole, that time is now, yet here, that time is now past. The amount of time that I have been Catholic has surpassed the amount of time I was a Protestant. I do not need to defend decision any longer and I do not need to add my voice as a clanging noise in the already vast amount of apologetics out there. The truth is available for those who earnestly seek wisdom and the Lord will lead them to it. But rather I would like the direction of this blog to shift to experiencing God with us, to helping those around me learn who God is and how he can transform us from sinners to saints.
With that said, I still enjoy some of the other dishes I serve up here sometimes, the music, the politics, and the what-have-yous. Those sorts of things will still be here, but I’d like to have them take a back seat in order to focus on what is really important here. I’m also beginning my first full-time, professional, salaried job in a few weeks and so I will be probably be putting Deus Nobiscum on the back burner for a bit as I get trained in, learn a new town, and get into the rhythm of my adult life.
Keep praying, keep fighting, and keep the faith. God is with us.
